Article 16-1. The use of physical force by employees of the foreign intelligence agency of the Law On Foreign Intelligence

     1. Employees of a foreign intelligence agency have the right to use physical force, including combat fighting techniques, to suppress criminal and administrative offenses that infringe on the life, health, rights, freedoms, personal dignity, property and protected interests of citizens and the state, detain persons who have committed socially dangerous acts, taking into account the nature of the offenses and specific situations, overcoming opposition to legitimate demands, if nonviolent methods do not ensure the fulfillment of the duties assigned to the foreign intelligence agency.

     2. An employee of a foreign intelligence agency has the right to use physical force in all cases where this law permits the use of special means or weapons.

 

 

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 22, 2010 No. 277-IV.

     This Law defines the status, competence and organization of activities of foreign intelligence entities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and members of the intelligence community of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
