1. Creative unions can be formed on a voluntary basis to carry out creative activities in the field of culture that require joint efforts.

2. Republican, regional and local creative unions may be established and operate in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. A creative union with structural divisions (branches and representative offices) in more than half of the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan is recognized as a republican union.

4. Creative unions with structural divisions (branches and representative offices) in the territory of less than half of the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan are recognized as regional.

5. Local creative unions are recognized as creative unions whose activities are carried out on the territory of one region, city of republican significance and the capital.

5-1. Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/03/2013 No. 124-V (effective after ten calendar days after its first official publication).

6. Relations of creative unions with international creative organizations are regulated by laws, as well as international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

7. Creation, reorganization and liquidation of creative unions are carried out in accordance with the procedure established by the civil legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 15, 2006 No. 207.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of creation, revival, preservation, development, dissemination and use of culture in the Republic of Kazakhstan and defines the legal, economic, social and organizational foundations of state policy in the field of culture.
