Article 16. District and other equivalent (city, inter-district, as well as specialized) prosecutors and the Prosecutor's Office of the Constitutional Law on the Prosecutor's Office

     1. District and equivalent (city, inter-district, as well as specialized) prosecutor's offices are headed by appropriate prosecutors appointed by the Prosecutor General.

     2. District and equivalent (city, inter-district, and specialized) prosecutors:

     1) manage the activities of district and equivalent (urban, inter-district, as well as specialized) prosecutor's offices;

     2) issue orders that are mandatory for all subordinate prosecutors and other employees;

     3) exercise other powers provided for by this Constitutional Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan and acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     This Constitutional Law defines the competence, organization and procedure of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
