1. The legal status, legal and social protection measures of employees and military personnel of bodies engaged in counterintelligence activities are established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Illegal interference or obstruction of counterintelligence activities, as well as failure to comply with the legal requirements of employees and military personnel during counterintelligence activities, entail liability established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. When conducting counterintelligence activities by an employee or a military officer of the body carrying out counterintelligence activities, his administrative detention, as well as personal search, inspection of his belongings, and used official vehicles are not allowed.

This Law defines the legal basis of counterintelligence activities and the system of guarantees of legality of their implementation.
