Operating organizations are required to have:

a list of potential radiation accidents with a forecast of their consequences and a forecast of the radiation situation, agreed with the authorized state body;

criteria for making operational decisions in the event of a radiation accident and levels of intervention agreed with the authorized state body;

an action plan to protect personnel and the public from a radiation accident and its consequences, coordinated with the local executive body of the region (city of republican significance, capital), authorized state bodies responsible for state administration, supervision and control in the field of radiation safety;

means for notification and provision of elimination of consequences of radiation accident;

medical means of preventing radiation damage and means of providing medical assistance to victims of a radiation accident;

emergency rescue units created from among the personnel.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 23, 1998 No. 219.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of radiation safety of the population, in order to protect their health from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation.
