In the field of legal support of international treaties and coordination of foreign legal assistance, the judicial authorities perform the following functions:

1) preparation, organization of conclusion and execution of international treaties on legal assistance and legal cooperation with foreign states in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) legal examination of loan agreements concluded under guarantees of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2-1) organization of scientific legal expertise on international treaties to which the Republic of Kazakhstan intends to become a party, as well as on draft international treaties subject to ratification;

2-2) organization of scientific linguistic expertise on international treaties to which the Republic of Kazakhstan intends to become a party, as well as on draft international treaties subject to ratification;

3) execution of judicial orders and petitions of foreign states in accordance with international treaties;

4) conducting an analysis on the issues of harmonization, unification of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries, as well as the implementation of international norms recognized by Kazakhstan in the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

5) participation in the prescribed manner in the preparation and conclusion of international agreements on the mutual protection of intellectual property rights, in the signing of such agreements;

6) legal expertise of draft international treaties.
