Article 16. Goals and objectives of the Public Council in the field of public control The Law on Public Councils
1. Public control is carried out by the Public Council in order to enhance the ability of civil society to participate in the decision-making process of government agencies and quasi-public sector entities.
2. Tasks of public control:
1) improving the efficiency, openness and transparency of the activities of government agencies, local governments and quasi-public sector entities;
2) implementation of civil initiatives aimed at protecting public interests;
3) increasing the level of public confidence in the activities of the state and its bodies, local governments, and quasi-public sector entities, providing feedback between society and the state, and preventing and resolving social conflicts;
4) involving the population in the anti-corruption process.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 2, 2015 No. 383-V SAM.
This Law defines the legal status, procedure for the formation and organization of activities of public councils aimed at implementing state policy on the formation of a state accountable to the population, ensuring the broad participation of non-profit organizations and citizens in decision-making by government agencies at all levels, as well as national management holdings, national holdings, national companies (hereinafter referred to as quasi-public sector entities).
