Article 16. The register of public mediators is maintained by the akim of a city of regional significance, a district in a city, a city of regional significance, a settlement, a village, a rural district The Law on Mediation

Article 16. The register of public mediators is maintained by the akim of a city of regional significance, a district in a city, a city of regional significance, a settlement, a village, a rural district The Law on Mediation

 

      1. The register of public mediators who mediate on a voluntary basis in the relevant administrative-territorial unit is maintained by the akim of a city of regional significance, a district in a city, a city of regional significance, a settlement, a village, a rural district.

     2. Mediators who mediate on a voluntary basis are required to apply to the akim of a city of regional significance, a district in a city, a city of district significance, a settlement, a village, a rural district for inclusion in the register of public mediators in accordance with the rules determined by the authorized body.

     3. The Register of Public Mediators contains:

     1) the surname, first name and patronymic (if it is indicated in the identity document) of the mediator;

     2) the legal address of the mediator;

     3) contact details of the mediator (postal address or e-mail address or phone or fax number);

     4) information about the field of mediation in which the mediator specializes;

     5) information about the language in which the mediator is able to mediate;

     6) information about the suspension of the mediator's activity.

      4. Mediators are included by the akim of a city of regional significance, a district in a city, a city of district significance, a settlement, a village, a rural district in the register of public mediators on notice within ten calendar days from the date of receipt of the relevant application, subject to compliance with the requirements of Article 9 of this Law.

     In case of non-inclusion of a mediator in the register of public mediators, the akim of a city of regional significance, a district in a city, a city of district significance, a settlement, a village, a rural district must, within ten calendar days from the date of receipt of the relevant application, give a reasoned response in writing about the reasons for the refusal.

     5. The register of public mediators should be posted on the Internet resource of the akim of a city of regional significance, a district in a city, a city of district significance, a settlement, a village, a rural district in Kazakh and Russian languages or in places accessible to the public and updated as public mediators are included in it.

     The akim of a city of regional significance, a district in a city, a city of district significance, a settlement, a village, a rural district has the right to publish a register of public mediators in periodicals distributed in the relevant administrative-territorial unit.

     This Law regulates public relations in the field of mediation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, defines its principles and procedure, as well as the status of the mediator.
