Article 17-1. The powers of the President of the Republic in relation to state bodies directly subordinate to him and accountable to the Constitutional Law on the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. The powers of the heads of state bodies directly subordinate and accountable to the President of the Republic shall terminate upon the assumption of office of the newly elected President. At the same time, they perform their duties until the Head of State appoints the heads of these bodies.
2. The President of the Republic, according to the representations of the heads of state bodies directly subordinate and accountable to the President of the Republic:
1) approves the regulations on these state bodies, their structure and the total number of staff;
2) appoints and dismisses deputy heads of bodies directly subordinate and accountable to the President of the Republic, heads of departments of these bodies, unless otherwise established by the President of the Republic;
3) form, abolish and reorganize the departments of the specified state bodies. These departments have the status provided for the departments of the central executive bodies, unless otherwise established by the President of the Republic.
3. The President of the Republic, in accordance with the procedure and terms determined by him, hears reports from the heads of state bodies directly subordinate and accountable to the President of the Republic on the work of these bodies.
