Article 17. Participation of citizens and organizations in crime prevention The Law on the Prevention of Offenses

     1. The participation of citizens and organizations in the prevention of offenses is carried out by voluntarily providing assistance to other subjects of crime prevention in accordance with this Law and other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     2. Citizens and organizations involved in the prevention of offenses carry out their activities based on the principles of legality, respect and observance of human and civil rights and freedoms.

     3. Citizens and organizations involved in the prevention of offenses carry out their activities by:

     1) participation in the organization of legal propaganda;

     2) participation in the work of advisory and expert bodies;

     3) assistance to other subjects of crime prevention.

 

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 29, 2010 No. 271-IV.

     This Law defines the legal, economic, social and organizational bases of the activities of state bodies, local governments, organizations and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the prevention of offenses.
