1. The carrier carries out transportation between railway stations that are open for the production of appropriate operations for receiving, departing, crossing, overtaking trains, passenger service, receiving, baggage, baggage, mail and (or) cargo. Shunting work on the formation and disbandment of trains and technical operations with trains can be carried out at a railway station with appropriate track development.

2. The requirements for the operating mode, as well as the procedure for opening and closing railway stations and sidings for performing all or individual operations, are determined by the authorized body in coordination with the local representative and executive bodies of the region, the city of republican significance, the capital, the district (city of regional significance) and other settlements.

3. State revenue authorities, border guards, veterinary, phytosanitary and other bodies carry out their activities on the territory of the railway station in the operating mode of the railway station.

4. Carriers should be provided with equal access to the services of railway stations for the transportation of passengers, baggage, baggage and mail, as well as operations for the reception, loading, unloading and delivery of goods.

5. Railway stations are divided into passenger, freight, marshalling, precinct and intermediate stations according to their purpose and nature of work.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 8, 2001 No. 266.

This Law regulates public relations between carriers, participants in the transportation process, government agencies, passengers, senders, recipients, shippers, consignees, and other individuals and legal entities when transporting passengers, baggage, cargo, baggage, and mail by rail.
