Article 17. Specifics of soil protection on agricultural land The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Soil Protection   

      1. The application of organic and mineral fertilisers on agricultural land for the purpose of increasing soil fertility and its productivity shall be carried out in accordance with a scientifically grounded fertiliser application system.

      2. Based on the results of soil, meliorative, and agrochemical surveys, bonitation, and soil monitoring, activities may be restricted for:

      1) cultivation of individual agricultural crops, alien plant species;

      2) application of individual cultivation technologies and carrying out agrotechnical (cultural-technical) meliorative measures;

      3) ploughing of hayfields and pastures;

      4) use of degraded, low-productivity, as well as technogenically polluted land plots. 

On soil protection, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 8, 2026 No. 341-VIII SAM 

This Law regulates public relations in the field of soil protection and defines their legal, economic and organizational bases.
