1. The state information system in the field of biological safety is created for the purpose of analyzing the situation, forecasting and modeling biological risks, developing coordinated and prompt response measures through centralized accounting and monitoring in the field of biological safety, biological risk management, and information exchange between government agencies and local executive bodies of regions, cities of republican significance, and the capital.

2. The objects of informatization in the field of biological safety are electronic information resources, software, Internet resource and information and communication infrastructure in the field of biological safety.

3. Subjects of informatization in the field of biological safety are state bodies (their subordinate organizations) that carry out state regulation (activity) in areas affecting biological safety issues, as well as subjects dealing with pathogenic biological agents.

4. The state information system in the field of biological safety is formed on the basis of statistical information and other accounting and reporting documentation (information) provided by subjects of informatization.

5. Information entering the state information system in the field of biological safety is accumulated in a unified form and forms a single national database in the field of biological safety.

6. The creation, improvement and operation of the state information system in the field of biological safety and ensuring the protection of the information stored and processed in it are carried out by the authorized body in the field of biological safety in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 21, 2022 No. 122-VII SAM.

This Law defines the legal basis of state regulation in the field of biological safety of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is aimed at preventing biological threats.
