Article 18. Birth certificate The Law on Identity Documents
1. A birth certificate is issued on the basis of an official record of the state registration of the birth of a child in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. A birth certificate is a document certifying the identity of an individual, until one of the following documents is received: an identity card of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a certificate of a stateless person or a foreign passport.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 29, 2013 No. 73-V.
This Law defines the legal basis of identity documents, establishes requirements for their registration, and regulates activities related to the production, issuance, replacement, delivery, seizure and destruction of identity documents.
