Article 18. The decision to call a Republican referendum Constitutional Law a On a Republican referendum
1. The decision on calling a referendum is made by the President of the Republic by issuing a corresponding Decree, which establishes:
1) the date of the referendum;
2) the wording of the question(s) to be submitted to it;
3) other issues related to the conduct of the referendum are being resolved.
2. The President of the Republic, with the consent of the initiators of the referendum, has the right to clarify the wording of the question(s) submitted to the referendum before it is held, in order to more accurately express the will of its initiators.
3. The decree of the President of the Republic on the appointment of a referendum, the texts of the draft Constitution, constitutional law, law, amendments and additions thereto shall be published in the mass media.

This Constitutional Law, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, determines the procedure for the appointment, preparation and conduct of a republican referendum.
