1. The use and sale of breeding products (materials) shall be carried out in accordance with the procedure determined by the authorized body, unless otherwise provided for in this article.

2. The seed is used and implemented in accordance with the following conditions at the same time:

1) obtained from a breeding animal producer, evaluated by the quality of offspring and (or) genomic evaluation;

2) has the appropriate morphofunctional parameters;

3) there are no genetically determined diseases;

4) has a marking that allows it to be identified.

3. The embryo is used and realized while meeting the following conditions::

1) obtained from breeding animals;

2) there are no genetically determined diseases;

3) has a breeding certificate;

4) has a marking that allows it to be identified.

4. It is not allowed to sell breeding products (materials) that do not have labeling. When selling a breeding animal for breeding purposes, the breeding animal must also have a breeding certificate.

5. Only breeding animals that meet the requirements provided for in Articles 19 and 20 of this Law are used to reproduce the breed.

6. In order to preserve data on farms where breeding animals were obtained, information about breeders is indicated in the breeding certificates.

7. In order to improve the breeding and productive qualities of animals, an agricultural producer has the right to use:

1) freshly harvested seed that meets the requirements set out in paragraphs 1) and 2) of paragraph 2 of this Article;

2) a freshly obtained embryo that meets the requirement set out in subparagraph 1) paragraph 3 of this article.

The requirement of subparagraph 1) of the first part of this paragraph applies to an agricultural producer who owns, by right of ownership or on another legal basis, a breeding animal producer.

The LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN dated July 9, 1998 No. 278.

This Law defines the legal, organizational and economic bases for carrying out activities in the field of breeding livestock, is aimed at preserving and increasing the gene pool of breeding animals, as well as reproducing and improving their productive qualities, regulates the activities of government agencies, individuals and legal entities engaged in the field of breeding livestock.
