1. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cinematography is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consists of this Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. If an international treaty ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes rules other than those contained in this Law, the rules of the international treaty shall apply.

3. Legal relations regulated by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cinematography are not subject to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on public procurement in terms of the acquisition of services for the provision of state support in the form of financing film projects claiming to be recognized as national films and national films.

This Law regulates public relations and defines the legal, economic and organizational foundations of the field of cinematography.
