Article 2. Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on compulsory environmental insurance Law on Compulsory Environmental Insurance
1. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on compulsory environmental insurance is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consists of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. This Law does not apply to legal relations regulated by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On compulsory insurance of civil liability of owners of facilities whose activities are associated with the risk of harm to third parties."
3. If an international treaty ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes rules other than those provided for by this Law, the rules of the international treaty shall apply.
4. The provisions of this Law applicable to an insurer, including an insurance organization, shall apply to branches of insurance organizations that are non-residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan, opened in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations arising in the field of compulsory environmental insurance and establishes the legal, economic and organizational basis for its implementation.
