Article 2. Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on compulsory insurance of civil liability of the carrier to passengers of the Law on Compulsory Insurance of Civil Liability of the Carrier to Passengers

1. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on compulsory insurance of civil liability of the carrier to passengers is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consists of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. If an international treaty ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes rules other than those provided for by this Law, the rules of the international treaty shall apply.

3. The provisions of this Law applicable to an insurer, including an insurance organization, shall apply to branches of insurance organizations that are non-residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan, opened in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 1, 2003 No. 444.

This Law regulates relations arising in the field of compulsory insurance of civil liability of the carrier to passengers, and establishes the legal, financial and organizational basis for its implementation.
