Article 2. Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on family-type children's villages and youth homes of the Law on Family-type children's villages and Youth Homes
1. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan regulating the maintenance, upbringing and provision of primary, basic secondary, general secondary, technical and vocational, post-secondary, and higher education for pupils in family-type children's villages and youth homes is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consists of this Law and other regulatory legal acts.
2. International treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan have priority over this Law and are applied directly, except in cases where it follows from an international treaty that its application requires the publication of a law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 13, 2000 No. 113-II.
This Law defines the legal status of family-type children's villages and youth homes established in order to meet the rights of orphaned children and children left without parental care to live and be raised in a family, as well as to comprehensively ensure their moral, spiritual, labor upbringing and education.
