Article 2. Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on national registers of identification numbers The Law on National Registers of Identification Numbers

      1. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on national registers of identification numbers is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consists of this Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     2. International treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan have priority over this Law. The procedure and conditions of operation in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan of international treaties to which the Republic of Kazakhstan is a party are determined by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 12, 2007 No. 223.

     This Law defines the goals, objectives, principles and legal basis for the creation and maintenance of national registers of identification numbers based on the formation of an identification number for an individual, a legal entity (branch and representative office).
