Article 2. Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on State guarantees of equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women of the Law on State Guarantees of Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities for Men and Women

1. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on state guarantees of equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, consists of this Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. If international treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan establish rules other than those contained in this Law, the rules of the international treaty shall apply.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 8, 2009 No. 223-IV.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of ensuring State guarantees of equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women and establishes basic principles and norms concerning the creation of conditions for gender equality in all spheres of State and public life.
