1. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Fund is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, consists of this Law and other regulatory legal acts.

2. If an international treaty ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes rules other than those contained in this Law, the rules of the international treaty shall apply.

3. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on joint-stock companies and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on state property shall apply to the Fund group, unless otherwise provided by this Law.

4. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on investment and venture funds does not apply to companies included in the list approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law defines the legal status, operating procedure, goals, objectives and powers of the National Welfare Fund, the procedure for interaction between the National Welfare Fund and government agencies, as well as certain features of the legal status of legal entities whose shares belong to the National Welfare Fund and other organizations belonging to the National Welfare Fund group.
