1. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on tourism activities is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consists of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this Law, and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. If an international treaty ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes rules other than those provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on tourism activities, the rules of the international treaty shall apply, except in cases where it follows from the international treaty that a law is required for its application.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 13, 2001 No. 211.

This Law defines the legal, economic, social, and organizational foundations of tourism activity as one of the sectors of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
