1. This Law regulates public relations in the field of the legal status of asylum seekers and refugees in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. This Law does not apply to relations related to the granting of political asylum in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to persons who have left their country of citizenship or country of permanent residence due to economic reasons.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 4, 2009 No. 216-IV.

This Law defines the legal status of asylum seekers and refugees in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
