1. The military police bodies of the Armed Forces are a military unit that is part of the special forces of the Armed Forces.

The military police bodies of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the military police bodies of the National Security Committee) are a military unit within the National Security Committee.

The military police bodies of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the military police bodies of the National Guard) are a structural unit of the National Guard.

2. Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the Minister of Defense), Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the Minister of Internal Affairs), Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as – Chairman of the National Security Committee), respectively, manage the activities of the military police of the Armed Forces, the military police of the National Guard, and the military police of the National Security Committee in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approve their structure and staffing levels, and adopt regulatory legal acts and decisions on organizational and staff measures.

This Law regulates public relations related to the activities of the military police.
