1. The subjects of foreign intelligence include:

1) the foreign intelligence agency.

2) military intelligence agencies of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the limits of their powers provided for in subparagraph 3) of Article 6 of this Law.

2. Foreign intelligence entities, within the limits of their powers established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, are called upon to ensure the national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan by conducting intelligence activities.

This Law defines the status, competence and organization of activities of foreign intelligence entities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and members of the intelligence community of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
