Article 20. Ensuring military security of the Law on National Security of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Military security is ensured:
1) maintaining the necessary level of defense capability of the state;
2) maintaining combat readiness of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) creation of effective systems of mobilization readiness of the economy and mobilization training of the population of the country;
4) expansion of military cooperation and partnerships within regional and international security structures, promotion of the nuclear disarmament initiative in order to strengthen mutual trust and reduce the level of military danger in the world;
5) maintaining the readiness of Civil Defense to protect the population and the territory of the country.
2. It is the responsibility of all State bodies and officials, organizations, regardless of their forms of ownership, and citizens to assist:
1) strengthening the defense capability of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) maintaining and increasing the level of combat readiness of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) maintaining mobilization capacities and improving the system of mobilization reserves.
3. It is prohibited to take decisions and actions capable of:
1) damage the defense capability of the Republic of Kazakhstan and combat readiness of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other troops and military formations;
2) in relation to organizations of the military-industrial complex, lead to a violation of the requirements of paragraphs 3-1 and 3-2 of Article 98 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On State Property".
4. It is not allowed, except in cases stipulated by international treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan.:
1) the deployment of military bases of foreign states and (or) international organizations on the territory of Kazakhstan;
2) transit through the territory of Kazakhstan of military formations, weapons and military equipment of foreign states and (or) international organizations.
5. The armed forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan are involved in ensuring national security in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 6, 2012 No. 527-IV.
This Law regulates legal relations in the field of national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan and defines the content and principles of ensuring the security of man and citizen, society and the state, the system, goals and directions of ensuring national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
