1. The safety of food products imported into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan must comply with the requirements established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on food safety.

2. It is prohibited to import food products into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1) does not have documents certifying its compliance with the requirements established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on food safety;

2) has not passed state registration in accordance with the requirements established by Article 9 of this Law.

3. At checkpoints across the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan, officials exercising state control and supervision, within their competence, inspect food products and check their shipping documents.

If the food products imported into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan do not meet the requirements set out in paragraph 4 of Article 12 of this Law, the officials specified in part one of this paragraph shall decide to temporarily suspend their import and send them for appropriate examination or establish a ban on their use. import (import) into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

4. The subject is obliged to export food products outside the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan within three days, which are recognized as dangerous according to the results of the relevant expertise.

If dangerous food products are not exported outside the Republic of Kazakhstan within the time period established by the first part of this paragraph, they are disposed of or destroyed in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on food safety.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 21, 2007 No. 301.

This Law establishes the legal basis for ensuring food safety to protect human life and health, the legitimate interests of consumers and environmental protection in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
