Article 20. Return of foreigners and stateless persons identified as victims of human trafficking in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan The Law on Combating Human Trafficking
1. Foreigners and stateless persons identified as victims of human trafficking in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan are returned to the country of origin (to the country of citizenship) voluntarily after completing the provision of special social services and (or) criminal proceedings.
2. Foreigners and stateless persons recognized as victims of crimes related to human trafficking are assisted in returning to their country of origin (country of citizenship) within the framework of special social services in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. If there is a fear that the return of victims of human trafficking endangers their safety, they, with their consent, are not subject to return and expulsion from the Republic of Kazakhstan and may apply for refugee or stateless person status in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law defines the organizational and legal framework for combating human trafficking.
