1. The official and special duties of the National Guard servicemen and the procedure for their execution are determined by this Law, other legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, general military charters and regulatory legal acts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. The performance of military service duties by National Guard servicemen as part of a guard, garrison, border guard, military detachment, as well as as part of military units (subunits) involved in the performance of tasks assigned to the National Guard is combat duty.

3. The procedure and conditions for military personnel of the National Guard to perform combat duty, as well as the amount of allowances (additional monetary payments) for their combat duty, are established by legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, regulatory legal acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

4. The duration of combat duty by National Guard servicemen is determined by the time the serviceman is actually present as part of the guard, garrison, border guard, military detachment, as well as as part of military units (subunits) involved in the performance of tasks assigned to the National Guard.

This Law regulates public relations in the sphere of activity of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
