Article 21. Chairman of the Judicial Board of the Supreme Court of the Constitutional Law on the Judicial System and the Status of Judges of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Article 21. Chairman of the Judicial Board of the Supreme Court of the Constitutional Law on the Judicial System and the Status of Judges of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     The footnote. Title of Article 21 as amended by the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 17.11.2008 N 80-IV (for the procedure of entry into force, see art. 2).

     1. The Chairman of the Judicial Board of the Supreme Court is a judge and, along with performing the duties of a judge:

     1) preside over the meetings of the judicial board;

     1-1) decides on the organization of legal proceedings in the judicial board;

     2) organizes work on the study and generalization of judicial practice;

     3) ensures that the judges prepare the relevant documents for consideration at the plenary session of the Supreme Court.;

     4) provides information to the plenary session of the Supreme Court on the activities of the judicial board;

     4-1) conducts a personal reception for citizens;

     5) exercise other powers provided for by law.

     2. In case of temporary absence of the chairman of the judicial board, the performance of his duties is assigned by order of the Chairman of the Supreme Court to one of the judges of the board.

     In case of early termination or expiration of the term of office of the Chairman of the judicial board of the Supreme Court, the temporary performance of his duties is assigned by order of the Chairman of the Supreme Court to the judge of the relevant board of the Supreme Court.
