Article 21. The right of citizens to compensation for damage caused to their life and health, property losses caused by exposure to ionizing radiation or as a result of a radiation accident On the radiation safety of the population
1. Citizens have the right to compensation for damage caused to their life and health, and to compensation for property losses caused by exposure to ionizing radiation beyond the established limits, or as a result of a radiation accident, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. The victims of radiation exposure include:
persons who received an above-permissible radiation dose during the liquidation of a radiation accident;
persons who have received an effective dose of radiation from ionizing radiation sources exceeding the dose limit established by radiation safety standards for personnel and who have diseases causally related to this exposure;
children suffering from certain types of diseases defined by the list of diseases associated with exposure to ionizing radiation, born to parents, if at least one of them falls under the status of victims of radiation exposure.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 23, 1998 No. 219.
This Law regulates public relations in the field of radiation safety of the population, in order to protect their health from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation.
