Article 22-5. Nutrition, purchase of food and basic necessities
1. Minors held in special institutions and organizations are provided with food, clothing, shoes and soft equipment according to the standards determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. Meals are served in separate rooms (canteens) from the play and sleeping areas.
3. The administration of special institutions and organizations is obliged to create conditions for minors that meet the requirements of hygiene, sanitation and fire safety.
4. Special institutions and organizations must be equipped with playrooms, sleeping quarters, eating facilities, a classroom and exercise yards for minors that meet the requirements of hygiene, sanitation and fire safety, as well as exclude conditions for unauthorized departure of minors from special institutions and organizations.
5. Minors are provided with teaching aids, literature, stationery and other means necessary for obtaining compulsory secondary education.

This Law defines the legal, economic and social foundations of the activities of State bodies for the prevention of juvenile delinquency and the prevention of child neglect and homelessness.
