1. Collection activities are carried out to study and determine the uniqueness of pathogenic microorganisms, their scientific, educational and practical value, the possibility of their application in scientific, research and production activities, and the conduct of international and national patent procedures in relation to them.

2. Collection activities are carried out by collecting, identifying, studying, recording, certifying, storing (depositing) and maintaining pathogenic and industrial microorganisms in national and working collections of pathogenic and industrial microorganisms.

3. The first heads of organizations engaged in collection activities are responsible for the preservation of national and working collections of pathogenic and industrial microorganisms.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 21, 2022 No. 122-VII SAM.

This Law defines the legal basis of state regulation in the field of biological safety of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is aimed at preventing biological threats.
