Article 26. Certification of professional competence of healthcare professionals Code on the Health of the People and the Healthcare System of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Certification of professional competence of healthcare professionals is a periodically conducted procedure for determining the level of professional competence.
2. Attestation commissions are established by the authorized body, local executive bodies, as well as the state body in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population for the objective and competent implementation of attestation.
3. The authorized body carries out certification of heads of local public health management bodies of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital and their deputies.
Local executive bodies of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital carry out certification of heads of local public health management bodies of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital, their deputies.
4. Local public health management bodies of oblasts, cities of republican significance and the capital shall certify the heads of their subordinate healthcare organizations and their deputies.
5. The state body in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population shall certify the heads of healthcare organizations engaged in activities in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population.
6. The persons being certified are certified every three years, but not earlier than one year from the date of taking up the relevant position.
