Article 26. Familiarization with the lists of voters (electors) of the Constitutional Law on Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan

     1. The voter lists for polling stations established at the place of residence of citizens are submitted to voters by the relevant election commissions for review fifteen days before the voting day.

     Voter lists by polling stations established in military units, on ships belonging to the Republic of Kazakhstan and sailing on election day, in rest homes, sanatoriums, inpatient medical and preventive institutions, in places where citizens are located in remote and hard-to-reach areas, at cattle breeding sites, in pre-trial detention centers and temporary detention facilities The contents, at the foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in foreign countries, are submitted to the voters for review five days before the voting day.; for polling stations formed during the election of members of other local self-government bodies - seven days before the voting day.

     2. The lists of electors for the election of deputies of the Senate are submitted for review by publishing in local mass media, as well as posted on the Internet resources of maslikhats of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital at least seven days before the elections.

     3. Citizens (electors) are provided with the opportunity to get acquainted with the lists of voters (electors) in the premises of the relevant election commissions, as well as to verify the correctness of the data on voters (electors) entered in them.

     The schedule of work of precinct election commissions, with the exception of voting day, is determined by the relevant territorial election commissions.

     4. Every citizen (elector) has the right to check the information about himself in the voter lists and appeal against non-inclusion, incorrect inclusion in the list or exclusion from the list, as well as inaccuracies in the data about the voter (elector) in the list. Applications for inclusion in the voter lists, exclusion from them, or corrections in the voter lists are considered by the relevant election commission on the day the application is received by the election commission. In case of rejection of the application, the election commission shall immediately provide the applicant with a copy of the reasoned decision to reject his application. The decision may be appealed to the relevant court at the location of the election commission, which examines the complaint on the day it is received. If the decision is positive for the applicant, the correction in the list of voters (electors) or the inclusion of an unincorporated voter in the list is carried out by the election commission immediately.
