The objectives of the intelligence activities of foreign intelligence entities are to protect the national interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan from external threats by providing intelligence information to the country's leadership and government agencies, as well as creating conditions for promoting the national interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 22, 2010 No. 277-IV.

This Law defines the status, competence and organization of activities of foreign intelligence entities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and members of the intelligence community of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
