State regulation in the field of electric power industry is based on the following basic principles:

1) the planned and sustainable development of the electric power industry;

2) respecting the interests of all subjects in the field of electric power industry;

3) the use of effective methods and technologies in the process of production, transmission and consumption of electric energy;

4) ensuring the safety of human life and health, environmental protection when using electric energy;

5) mandatory state regulation of safety in the field of electric power industry use.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 9, 2004 No. 588.

This Law regulates public relations arising in the process of production, transmission and consumption of electric energy.
