The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of commodity exchanges:

1) develops the main directions of state policy in the field of commodity exchanges;

2) determines commodity exchanges on a competitive basis that trade in exchange-traded goods included in the list of socially significant exchange-traded goods, and sets criteria for them.;

3) performs other functions assigned to him by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan and acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 4, 2009 No. 155-IV.

This Law regulates public relations arising in the course of commodity exchanges and exchange trading, establishes the procedure for regulating and state control over the activities of commodity exchanges in order to ensure their open and effective functioning, protect the rights of participants in exchange trading and fair competition between them.
