1. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on state property is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consists of this Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The legal regime of state property is determined by the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this Law and other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Republican property may be located outside the Republic of Kazakhstan, and communal property may be located outside this administrative-territorial unit or the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan, decisions of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as on other grounds provided for by the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. The legal regime of the state property of the Republic of Kazakhstan located outside the Republic of Kazakhstan is determined by the legislation of the foreign state where this property is located, unless otherwise provided by international treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan or the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

4. If an international treaty ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes rules other than those contained in this Law, the rules of the international treaty shall apply.
