Article 3. State Regulation of Biofuel Production and Turnover Chapter 2. STATE REGULATION AND SUPPORT OF BIOFUEL PRODUCTION AND TURNOVER of the Law on State Regulation of Biofuel Production and Turnover

1. State regulation of biofuel production and turnover is carried out by authorized bodies in the field of biofuel production and turnover and local executive bodies of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital.

Other state bodies, within the limits of their competence established by other laws, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, regulate certain issues of biofuel production and (or) turnover provided for by this Law.

2. The main objectives of state regulation of biofuel production and turnover are:

1) reducing the level of pollutants into the atmosphere;

2) development of biofuel production and turnover;

3) ensuring compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on state regulation of biofuel production and turnover.

3. State regulation of biofuel production and turnover includes:

1) determination of the maximum production capacity for biofuel production;

2) implementation of state control in the field of biofuel production and turnover;

3) in the event of a threat to food security, the establishment of quotas for food raw materials used for subsequent processing into biofuels.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 15, 2010 No. 351-IV.

This Law regulates public relations arising in the field of biofuel production and turnover.
