Article 3. The inauguration of the President of the Republic of the Constitutional Law On the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     1. The President of the Republic takes office from the moment of taking the following oath to the people: "I solemnly swear to faithfully serve the people of Kazakhstan, strictly follow the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, guarantee the rights and freedoms of citizens, and faithfully fulfill the high duties assigned to me by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan." The text of the oath is pronounced by the President of the Republic in the official language.

     2. The oath is taken on the second Wednesday of January.

     If the President is elected in early elections or assumes the powers of the President in the case provided for in article 48 of the Constitution, the oath is taken within one month from the date of publication of the results of the presidential election or the assumption of the powers of the President of the Republic. In these cases, the day of taking the oath is determined by the Central Election Commission of the Republic.

     The oath is taken in a solemn ceremony in the presence of members of Parliament, judges of the Constitutional Court, judges of the Supreme Court, as well as all former Presidents of the Republic.

     3. The President of the Republic takes the oath of office on the Constitution of the Republic. After taking the oath, the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan is performed. The Chairman of the Central Election Commission presents the President with a certificate, a badge, a standard of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Order of "Altyn Kiran" (Golden Eagle).

     4. Excluded by the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 05.11.2022 No. 156-VI (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 26, 1995 No. 2733.

     This Constitutional Law, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, defines the legal status of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
