The main objectives of plant quarantine are:

1) protection of the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan from entry or independent entry from other states or from the quarantine zone of quarantine facilities;

2) identification, localization and elimination of quarantine facilities, as well as prevention of their entry into regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan where they are absent;

3) conducting state quarantine phytosanitary control and supervision of compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of plant quarantine.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 11, 1999 No. 344.

This Law defines the legal basis, goals, objectives and principles of plant quarantine measures, which are an integral part of the national security system, on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
