1. The purpose of this Law is to establish a unified state policy in the field of crime prevention.

2. The objectives of this Law are:

1) ensuring the protection of human and civil rights, freedoms and legitimate interests from unlawful encroachments;

2) reducing the level of offenses;

3) improving the crime prevention system, as well as identifying, studying, and eliminating the causes and conditions that contribute to them;

4) social adaptation and social rehabilitation of persons in need of special social services;

5) coordination of the activities of the subjects of crime prevention;

6) raising the level of legal culture of citizens;

7) ensuring the participation of citizens and organizations in the prevention of offenses.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 29, 2010 No. 271-IV.

This Law defines the legal, economic, social and organizational bases of the activities of state bodies, local governments, organizations and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the prevention of offenses.
