1. This Law regulates legal relations:

1) related to the specifics of the legal status and activities of joint-stock investment funds;

2) arising in the process of creation, functioning and termination of mutual funds;

3) related to the activities of professional securities market participants in investment asset management of investment funds, their accounting and storage, as well as ensuring the issuance, placement, circulation, redemption and redemption of securities of investment funds;

4) related to the specifics of the legal status and activities of venture funds.

2. This Law does not apply to the relations of trust management of property carried out by persons other than management companies and venture managers, whose activities are regulated by other legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. This Law does not apply to organizations, more than fifty percent of the voting shares of which belong by right of ownership or trust management to the national management holding, the list of which is approved by the central authorized body for state planning, except in cases when they create venture funds.

This Law defines the legal status, specifics of the creation, operation, reorganization and liquidation of a joint-stock investment fund, the conditions and procedure for the creation, operation and termination of a mutual investment fund, the specifics of the legal status and activities of venture funds in the Republic of Kazakhstan, regulates relations related to the activities of professional securities market participants to ensure the functioning of investment funds, and It also defines the procedure for state regulation of investment funds.
