Article 36. Notarial acts performed by persons performing consular functions of the Notary Law
1. An official performing consular functions on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall perform the following notarial acts:
1) certifies transactions, except for agreements on the alienation of immovable property located in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) (excluded)
3) issues certificates of inheritance rights;
4) issues certificates of ownership of a share in the common property of the spouses and other persons who have property under the right of common joint ownership;
5) attests to the accuracy of copies of documents and extracts from them;
6) certifies the authenticity of the signature on the documents;
7) attests to the correctness of the translation of documents from one language to another;
8) certifies the fact that the citizen is alive;
9) certifies the fact that a citizen is in a certain place;
10) certifies the time of presentation of documents;
11) transmits applications from individuals and legal entities to other individuals and legal entities;
12) accepts money as a deposit;

14) accepts documents and securities for safekeeping;
15) commits maritime protests;
16) provides evidence.
2. Legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan may provide for other notarial acts performed by an official performing consular functions.
