Article 36. Responsibility for violation of the legislation on the Republican referendum Constitutional Law a On the Republican referendum

     1. Obstruction in any form of the free exercise by a citizen of the Republic of his right to participate in a referendum, campaigning on the issue(s) submitted to it, forgery of electoral documents, deliberately incorrect vote counting, violation of the secrecy of voting or other violation of the legislation on the republican referendum entail liability in accordance with the procedure established by law.

     2. Actions of state bodies and officials regarding the organization and conduct of a referendum may be appealed to the court.

     This Constitutional Law, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, determines the procedure for the appointment, preparation and conduct of a republican referendum.
