1. Citizens and legal entities are free to conclude a contract. Coercion to conclude a contract is not allowed, except in cases where the obligation to conclude a contract is provided for by this Code, legislative acts or a voluntarily accepted obligation.

1-1. It is prohibited to conclude any agreements related to the acquisition of ownership rights or other property rights of an individual, legal entity and (or) a person operating in accordance with a joint venture agreement (simple partnership, consortium) for an apartment and (or) non-residential premises or an individual residential building, or their share in the sphere of equity participation in housing construction in an apartment building under construction or a complex of individual residential buildings, without complying with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Equity Participation in Housing Construction".

2. The parties may conclude an agreement, both provided for and not provided for by law.
