Counterintelligence activities are based on the principles of:

1) legality;

2) respect for human and civil rights and freedoms;

3) subordination to the strategic development goals of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4) combinations of vowels and unspoken methods;

5) secrecy and conspiracy;

6) carrying out timely, active actions to prevent, uncover, and suppress intelligence and (or) subversive actions;

7) the priority of counterintelligence measures in preventing, uncovering, and suppressing intelligence and (or) subversive actions;

8) the continuity of counterintelligence activities, regardless of the legal and other measures taken on specific facts of intelligence and subversive activities.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 28, 2016 No. 35-VI SAM.

This Law defines the legal basis of counterintelligence activities and the system of guarantees of legality of their implementation.
